On Thursday, Dec. 4, UPrep posted its own version of the famous Spotify Wrapped on its Instagram page, dubbed UPrep Wrapped 2025. Spotify Wrapped, which aims to review each user’s top artists, albums, and songs of the year, came out on Wednesday Dec. 3.
One of the highlighted moments from UPrep’s Instagram page was the boys soccer team winning the state championship.
The community built on the team was something that Senior Captain Brody Eintracht will never forget.
“The bond on a team that went to state was incredible,” Eintracht said.
This close connection was able to bring the team to new heights.
“We were able to be so close on and off the field that we could push each other to be the best players and teammates for one another,” Eintracht said.
While many memorable moments from the past year, both in and out of school, were also highlighted, others that resonated with teachers are important to share to give 2025 a holistic picture.
Ty Talbot identified the senior retreat for the class of 2026. This fall, the senior retreat took place at Camp Huston.
“Everyone was reluctant at the start,” Talbot said. “But once it gets rolling, you’ll see all these students come together in ways they haven’t before. It really starts the year off on a great note.”
Senior Dean and Spanish teacher Ciara McGrath also noted the senior retreat and the connections as a strong start to the new school year.
“The senior retreat and senior circle were full of joy and optimism,” McGrath said. “It was heartwarming, to all of us adults, to see all seniors engaging thoughtfully, connecting and reconnecting not just with friends, but with peers that maybe they hadn’t spoken to in a long time.”
Assistant Director of Middle School and Fine Arts department Chair Tim Blok noted going to Spokane with Mr. Lewis, Ms. Wu, and music students who participated in All-State and All-Northwest honor ensembles as a memorable moment.
Trips such as those, as well as welcoming students from Finland and Lithuania, were common themes between Talbot and McGrath.
