To Larissa Rosenthal: I leave the best parking spot in the temple lot (it’s the last one in the third lot, don’t tell anyone ) and my folding chair at lunch for when the number of students at this school finally outgrows the number of chairs in the commons.

To the next ASB (Huda Hassan, Kori Billingslea, Tyson Scott, Annika Brown): I leave a school that I know you all will do awesome things with and I’m super excited to see what new traditions you can get started. Give me a call the next time they try to take away the water from Fun Day—I’ll fight it again. I hope you all can reinvent Snow Coming and Spring Fling. Please. And bring some humor back to weekly assemblies. The best part of my Monday was when someone laughed at my bad jokes in the Pumadome.

To the UPrep Community: I leave you with all the puma spirit I have, including my blue “clown” overalls. Keep on showing up for each other and out cheering SAAS and Bush at their home games. Who prep?!

I’ve loved becoming your friend this year, and I’m so excited to come back and hear you play. Keep me updated on all the cool stuff that you’re doing and the gallivanting you partake in throughout high school. Keep on toot-tootin’ on that trumpet. xxx.

To Wilson Ferguson: I leave all the most interesting math problems that you could ever possibly think of. I also leave a lifetime supply of piano composition ideas, keys to write in, and shark teeth and cool fossils. Thank you for being my buddy and friend, and for being so awesome to talk to about literally anything– music, biology, math, physics, gap years. You’re WICKED talented, and so nice, and I can’t wait to see what you go on to do. Whatever it is, it’ll be great. Please keep in touch!!

To Jin Hyun, Felix Bai, Leah Berger, Luke Wheeler, Marissa Du and Steve Sfekas: I leave the viola section. Please make sure to recruit as many middle schoolers as possible to our valiant cause. I believe that one day, we will outnumber the cellos. Until then, take up as much of their elbow room as possible. Shove them out of the room if you have to. I’ll miss you guys. I’m so honored I got to work with you this year!!

Finally, To Mr. Lewis, Pat Grant, Joel Sohn, Ms. Howe, Lindsay Metcalfe, Ms. PB, Priscilla Lindberg, Isabelle Rio, Mr. Peabody, Ms. Serkowski, Micah, David, Mr. Munsell, Emily Schorr Lesnick, Moses, Leroy, and literally every other faculty or staff member who made my time at UPrep richer and more enjoyable than I ever could have imagined: I’ve learned so much from you all, and I’m so grateful that I’ve gotten to know you.
