According to KING 5, Raising Canes will be opening in early August at 4345 University Way NE.
Eighth grader Asha Mirchandani has certain things that she loves about Raising Cane’s, including her favorite item on the menu.
Mirchandani mentions that her favorite thing on the menu would be the Cane’s sauce “because it adds so much flavor to everything.”
Raising Cane’s chicken reminds Mirchandani of many things; however, it brings her back to one specific memory.
“It reminds me of New York because that was the first time I had it,” Mirchandani says.
After finding out about the new Raising Cane’s opening up in UDistrict Mirchandani is eager to be able to go to the new location any time she wants.
“I will most likely go once every two weeks,” Mirchandani said.
Eighth grader, Annelise Lent-Wright speaks about her admiration for the Raising Cane’s chain.
“I think it’s really good,” Lent-Wright said.
Lent-Wright explains what she thinks makes Raising Cane’s so good.
“I think it’s crispy chicken, and then the soft inside, and then the sauce is incredible, “ Lent-Wright said. “You have to get the iced tea too.”
Lent-Wright has found one way to make Raising Cane’s taste extra special to her.
“If you make a sandwich with the Texas toast and the chicken it is incredible,” Lent-Wright said.
Lent-Wright speaks about how passionate she is about the chain.
“Even though I’ve only had it like, once or twice,” Lent-Wright said
As Well as Mirchandani, Lent-Wright is ecstatic about the opening of the new Raising Cane’s.
Lent-Wright mentions that she will most likely go “once a week”
As much as Lent-Wright loves Raising Cane’s she feels that it is still missing something.
“I feel like they could add milkshakes. Then you could dip the fries into it,” Lent-Wright adds.
Lent-Wright has mixed feelings about the topic of Raising Cane’s being overrated.
“It’s slightly overrated but at the same time it’s perfectly overrated,” Lent-Wright said
Eighth grader Elie Swanson expresses her deep interest in the fast food chain.
“I’m really excited for the new Raising Cane’s opening up in the U District,” Swanson said.
Swanson notes that she likes many different things from Raising Canes; however, there is one specific item that she prefers to get.
“My favorite meal is their classic chicken and their Raising Canes sauce,” Swanson said. “I’m definitely a Raising Canes kind of girl.”
